What is the Credit Meter Program?
Sometimes all water used does not go down the drain to the sanitary sewer. Non-returnable water business activities include, but are not limited to:
- Irrigation
- Heating/cooling
Four Rivers Sanitation Authority has developed a process to install and automatically read IndustrialCommercial/Governmental (ICG) credit meters. The use of a credit meter allows Four Rivers to credit ICG customers for water that does not go to the sewer. Please keep in mind that the Credit Meter Program is only available to metered water services.
Program Options
Credit Meter Program
Pay a quarterly fee (amount of fee is based upon meter size) for a credit meter and Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) head. The benefits of having a Four Rivers ICG credit meter include:
- Your ICG credit meter is automatically and accurately read
- The ICG credit meter is installed and maintained by Four Rivers
- Rates will vary depending upon industry/commercial use and meter size.
Install a Credit Meter
Install your own credit meter and have Four Rivers install the AMR head. The meter must be compatible with the FRSA’s AMR system. Under this option, there is no quarterly fee, but you pay the cost of the meter and installation. If the meter malfunctions, it will be your responsibility to have it repaired or replaced. No credit will be given while the meter is not functioning properly.
Please keep in mind that ICG customers are not eligible for the Summer Usage Period Discount Program.
